line the inner part then line outter with eyeliner then add same color of eyeshadow to the bottom of liner so it can last longer :)
dont line the inside of the bottom, line it right where you eye lashes are. The only trick is to get a good eyeliner. Cheap eyeliner fades really quickly. Also, if you put your concealer and foundation and powdwer on, and under your eyes, this might help it stick a bit more. Never put any of this on the inside though. I also like using an eyeliner smudger. You can get one with covergirl, it has a smudger on the back of it, and you can make it smoky, it stays a bit longer.

not really ne tricks, i put it on by closing my eyes on the pencil, and sliding back and forth so i get top and bottom at the same time. hehe
i dont do that, it looks slutty
to help it stay on longer buy eyeshadow primer and put it on the bottom lids as well. or you can just use liquid concealer to put on your bottom lids instead if you dont have primer... then pull the skin to the side (so your eye looks asian, slanted) and apply the eyeliner thinly then go over it to make it thicker if you choose.

How can I apply cheep liquid eyeliner with a brush?
I get a lot of make-up from older members of my family that they haven't used yet. Most of it is liquid eyeliner. I can't put it on without it smearing or looking slutty. I'm 14, so I don't want to over do it. If anyone has any idea what I should to to apply it with a brush, please answer if anyone has an solution. I would apply it very thinly with a small flick at the sides.

A lot depends on your skin tones and hair colour. If you have darker hair, then thicker eyeliner can make you look goth/mean etc. (but if this is what you are going for, then thats fine!) i would suggest sharpening your eyeliner and then applying to give a thin defining line rather than producing excessive amounts. However, the line under your eye can make the eye look smaller, so i would suggest flicking the eyeliner line out at the end of the eye. This makes the eye look bigger - and also prettier, so as not to look so mean.

Don't listen to anybody about not putting it under your eyes. If you like it. Do it. I wear liquid liner. I put a thin line on my top lashes. And a thin line really really close to my bottom lash on that inside ridge. Then I put my mascara on farely thick on my top lash and just a swoop on my bottom. It makes my eyes POP and looks super sexy. I always get compliments from other woman about my eye makeup. Good luck and just play with it until you find something that works.

Apply a thin line in the inside of your lower eyelid. I do it all the time. It makes you eye colour stand out and it makes you eyes look bigger. It's very dramatic.
The trick is when you go dark on the eyes, use a light, skin coloured lipstick to balance it out. If you go dark on the lip colour, use light colours on the eyes. Dark eyes and dark lips is too much and overdone. You can still look good with the natural look by going light eyes and lips, however. I guarantee it will look good.

This makes your eyes look larger and less severe. Don't apply any liner in the inside corner, just smudge. Black eye liner does look a little Gothic (if thats what your going for, then stick with it). Experiment with gray, or brown. you might be suprised.

Their Velvet Touch eyeliners (pencil) have great colours and staying power, especially the waterproof stuff.
But my favourite from them HAS to be their Extreme Art Eyeliners (liquid) - the colours are so vibrant, and it stays FOREVER without smudging or anything. It's ridiculous. I tested some on my hand and it doesn't come off for two or three days; you need some eye makeup remover with oil to get this stuff off, but it's so worth it.
My number 2 liner is Rimmel Exaggerate (pencil), and for something cheap yet effective, Wet and Wild liquid liners are great. I kid you not.
I prefer liquid liners for something fun and dramatic and long-lasting, and eyeshadow used as a liner for a more natural look that you can pretty much do anything with. I look at people at my school where they look like they just woke up or look like goths from putting eyeliner on their lash line on their lower eyelid.(Its a little smudged below.)
But when i look at magazines and photos of celebrities, it seemed that they got their inner eyelids covered with eyeliner, because i can't see the colour of their inner eyelid.

In that picture, notice how Rachel is wearing a lot of mascara on the bottom lashes also. Remember, the whole point of eyeliner is to make your eyelashes appear thicker, so don't use black eyeliner without mascara unless you have really dark, thick lashes. And yes, smudging it on the inner part of the lash line can look less ';goth'; but make sure it doesn't run!!!!! AKA. don't cry or else you'll have a serious problem.
What I'd recommend to you is to first, use charcoal rather than black. As you said, it makes some people (most) look Goth) to wear black eye liner.
Remember, as well, magazines get a lot - lot of doctoring. I've worked in make-up and photography...I can make my 52 year old sister look 17 ;-).
To make our big eyes look smaller place the charcoal pencil on the top outer edge of our eyelash. When you make it go towards the inside corner it should be a thicker line on the outside and get thinner starting at the mid-section f the eyelid and tapper off before you get to the corner. Don't-don't allow the color to get to the corner - it will close your eye too much. End just before the corner.
Your lower lash is similar. UNDER ;-) the eyelashes...starting at the outside corner, the line should be thicker towards the outside and tapper toward the inside corner. However, this line should end 3/4 from the inside corner of your eye. The thickest part of this line shouldn't be that thick - but thick enough to tell the outside is thicker than the inside area.
And, finally, don't put eyeliner on the ';ledge';. Its normally not right. The only time I might do that, and have, is if I wear my normal dark liner and for dress, I add a deep blue line on the ledge.
You can also try adding a pale white line above the charcoal line on your top eyelid.line. Just something different to try.
Make-up should not be seen...but your face should be noticed. Enjoy having fun with all the suggestions!

Most do put it on the lower rim, but it does depend on what kind of look you're going for. If you get a GLAMOR magazine you'll probably see lots a different eye designs. Some will be lined on the lower lash line, some on the rim.
The one thing you have to be aware of is when you line on the rims, lots of girls get ';eye goobers'; in the corner of the eyes. Looks nasty. So use a good quality eye liner pencil. (Select one that is ophthalmologist tested, sensitivity and allergy tested so you'll have less chance of getting ';eye goobers.'; A couple of my faves are, TIGI (pronounced tee-jee) and BeautiControl, and Mirabella. All great quality at a decent price, but you'll probably have to get them at a salon or spa or order online.
When I line on the lash line, I always use an angled eye brush to lightly smudge and soften the line, and it looks a lot better than when you just line and go. Also, go with a dark brown or dark smokey grey instead of lining with black. Black always adds a harshness to the eye and can make you feel like you're going with the ';goth'; look.
There are so many eye ';looks'; you can go with. Experiment and play with different looks and see what you end up liking the best on you! GLAMOUR has always been a great source as well as some of the other fashion mags come spring and fall to give you a heads up on the trend for that season. Makeup looks change with the season just as clothes do! If you know what techniques work well on you, then you can adapt some of the trends to work with what looks good on you! Hope this helps! And yes, smudging it on the inner part of the lash line can look less ';goth'; but make sure it doesn't run!!!!! AKA. don't cry or else you'll have a serious problem.
What I'd recommend to you is to first, use charcoal rather than black. As you said, it makes some people (most) look Goth) to wear black eye liner.
Remember, as well, magazines get a lot - lot of doctoring. I've worked in make-up and photography...I can make my 52 year old sister look 17 ;-).
To make our big eyes look smaller place the charcoal pencil on the top outer edge of our eyelash. When you make it go towards the inside corner it should be a thicker line on the outside and get thinner starting at the mid-section f the eyelid and tapper off before you get to the corner. Don't-don't allow the color to get to the corner - it will close your eye too much. End just before the corner.
Your lower lash is similar. UNDER ;-) the eyelashes...starting at the outside corner, the line should be thicker towards the outside and tapper toward the inside corner. However, this line should end 3/4 from the inside corner of your eye. The thickest part of this line shouldn't be that thick - but thick enough to tell the outside is thicker than the inside area.
And, finally, don't put eyeliner on the ';ledge';. Its normally not right. The only time I might do that, and have, is if I wear my normal dark liner and for dress, I add a deep blue line on the ledge.
You can also try adding a pale white line above the charcoal line on your top eyelid.line. Just something different to try.
Make-up should not be seen...but your face should be noticed. Enjoy having fun with all the suggestions!

the thing about puttin it on the inner eyelid is that it emphesizes your eyes much better!
i have tried puting it at my lash line and it made my eyes look goofy and when i put it on the inner eye rim, it looks so much better!
just dont use liquid eyeliner! thats bad, so stick to the STICK!
Most do put it on the lower rim, but it does depend on what kind of look you're going for. If you get a GLAMOR magazine you'll probably see lots a different eye designs. Some will be lined on the lower lash line, some on the rim.
The one thing you have to be aware of is when you line on the rims, lots of girls get ';eye goobers'; in the corner of the eyes. Looks nasty. So use a good quality eye liner pencil. (Select one that is ophthalmologist tested, sensitivity and allergy tested so you'll have less chance of getting ';eye goobers.'; A couple of my faves are, TIGI (pronounced tee-jee) and BeautiControl, and Mirabella. All great quality at a decent price, but you'll probably have to get them at a salon or spa or order online.
When I line on the lash line, I always use an angled eye brush to lightly smudge and soften the line, and it looks a lot better than when you just line and go. Also, go with a dark brown or dark smokey grey instead of lining with black. Black always adds a harshness to the eye and can make you feel like you're going with the ';goth'; look.
There are so many eye ';looks'; you can go with. Experiment and play with different looks and see what you end up liking the best on you! GLAMOUR has always been a great source as well as some of the other fashion mags come spring and fall to give you a heads up on the trend for that season. Makeup looks change with the season just as clothes do! If you know what techniques work well on you, then you can adapt some of the trends to work with what looks good on you! Hope this helps! On my lower lid I always apply to the inner eyelid but on the upper lid I apply to the lash line. I was shocked to discover that most celebrities also apply all the way to the eye duct!
