xHow do i apply liquid eyeliner?
DO NOT TRY TO PUT LIQUID EYELINER ON YOUR WATERLINE! Your waterline is the part of your bottom lashline that is slippery and wet. If you put liquid eyeliner on your waterline not only will it not stick but it may get in your eyes and cause severe pain! It is not worth the risk! If you want to put liquid eyeliner on the top, go for it! Apply it right above the lash line. Now for the bottom, I would try CoverGirl Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil (not liquid) and apply it to the water line. This should stay better and give you the look of having no space between your liner and your eye because thats what you said you liked.
heey :P
i got the perfect answer
because this is exactly what happened to me before !!
anyways
just get liwuid eyeliner and just like line underneath your lower lashes
any shape anyway
can be as messy as you want
becuzzzzz we are
now gunna get a wipe (face wip/baby wipes) anyy
and then you rub off the excess eyeliner you put on
this will leave you with a beuitiful perfect straight line unerneath you lashes !! *(:
so this everyday (:
i only use liquid eyeliner on the top
cuz i kinda have long lashes and it's hard for me to put it on the bottom
i think gel eyeliner is much better and easier if u wanted to put it on the bottom
try black eyeshadow with a really thin brush instead
apply liquid eyeliner in feather strokes otherwise you'll hve a gap in between
This is how I felt when I first stared wearing eyeliner. I started with pencil because my mom said it would be good practice and I wanted liquid because I liked how dramatic it looked and how you could actually see it and it would stay on all day.
So to put it on you take the brush and lightly glide it over the top of your eye. I'm sure you know how to do this already because of the pencil. Be careful not to accidentally get it into your eye though. It can sting but it wont do any real damage to your eye..if it does get in you should flush your eye or what I sometimes like to do so that I don't have to start over is take a q-tip, wet it, and then lift down the bottom of my eye and let it leak out onto the q-tip. Anyway for the bottom you don't put it on the waterline. That will hurt badly and never ever work out. You put it under your bottom lashes. Your should make the top and bottom meet in the corner of your eye though so it looks consistent.
And you really can't see a space if you do it right...just do it as close as possible without actually getting any liner into your eye. A lot of people actually don't like to do the bottom and for awhile I didn't either. But now I don't like it without the bottom done. Remember to be as creative as you want with it and don't let anyone put you down. That's one of the main things I LOVE about liquid liner. You get to be as creative as you want with it which makes it fun. Good luck. ;D
EDIT: (also to answer one of the other answers statement you can get waterproof eyeliner which makes it not run. It stays on all day and that means you CAN put it in the corner of your eye. Just make sure you give it time to dry and it's always good to use primer before wearing any liner to make it last the longest it possibly can. So don't be afraid to put it on the bottom because it will run. Just get waterproof. It also esp helps if you have oily skin or p.e-sweat.-)
Liquid eyeliner is mainly used on the top lashline. It's hard to put it close to your eye, and if you put it too close it just makes your eyes water and the eyeliner blur.
If you want to wear it on the bottom lid, bear in mind that it looks very severe and you can't make it stay put on the inside of your eye as liquid eyeliner only stays for longer than pencil eyeliner if it stays dry, otherwise it will run. My advice is to use a tiny thin line on your bottom lashline, not a solid line, and use a cotton bud or q tip to soften it so it doesn't look harsh. Then use your pencil eyeliner to do inbetween your lashes and eye, and later when it smudges, there will still be a trace of black to soften the liquid eyeliner.
Most people don't use liquid eyeliner on the bottom unless going for a dramatic night time look, so I recommend doing just your top eyelid and seeing what you think. If you still want to do the bottom, then to keep it looking fairly natural don't draw a line, but do little dashes just barely above your lower lashes. Otherwise, you can use powder eyeshadow for around your lashes, it lasts long as it is dry and can be smudged. Use a very thin brush and barely wet the tip of the brush.
When trying something new with makeup, don't just try it for the first time before you head out the door- play around, experiment in the evening or when you have lots of time. That way you can wash it off if you don't like it, and you get good practice.
