Is there any waterproof eyeliner that's actually waterproof?

I bought some for $6 and it said it was waterproof but it isn't. Any suggestions? Is there any waterproof eyeliner that's actually waterproof?
I wear powerpoint eyeliner pencil from MAC - it really stays. I was in a rush the other day and put eye shadow on, and the liner in green - after eight hours of rushing around, then to the gym, the eyeliner was still there, but the shadow had faded, or been wiped away while I was sweating. Finally took off the eyeliner later that night. Is there any waterproof eyeliner that's actually waterproof?
Urban Decay 24/7 liners are the best I have seen-long-lasting, waterproof, and they glide on amazingly.
I use N.Y.C. [ New York color] waterproof eyeliner pencil and it stays on really well. Sometimes I accidentally rub my eyes and it doesn't even come off. I think that this is great eyeliner!
try Maybelline waterproof (Liquid) eyeliner
no..because in order for it to come OFF your eyes and NOT be premanent, it has to have some water in it, therefore nothing is TRULY water proof. (even waterproof mascara.)
liquid liner go to sephora they have great stuff

How do i apply liquid eyeliner?

Im sick of eyeliner pencil rubbing out about an hour after ive applied it, now im wanting to buy liquid eyeliner, but where do i put it on my bottom lash, with pencil i normally put above my lashes roots not on them, but if i try this with liquid it makes my eyes sting, so any tips? I dont really like the look on the bottom if you can see a space between the eye and the eyliner. How do i apply liquid eyeliner?
It's quite hard to explain, so i'll give you some links to try and answer your question (^_^)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_k_f4CeeGJo - this one is if you want a little cat's eye at the edge of your eyelid.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_nJXK5EJEQA - i adore this video, it shows you how to have anime eyes, but it isn't too flamboyant.

i really hope i helped, i love makeup :)

xHow do i apply liquid eyeliner?
DO NOT TRY TO PUT LIQUID EYELINER ON YOUR WATERLINE! Your waterline is the part of your bottom lashline that is slippery and wet. If you put liquid eyeliner on your waterline not only will it not stick but it may get in your eyes and cause severe pain! It is not worth the risk! If you want to put liquid eyeliner on the top, go for it! Apply it right above the lash line. Now for the bottom, I would try CoverGirl Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil (not liquid) and apply it to the water line. This should stay better and give you the look of having no space between your liner and your eye because thats what you said you liked.
heey :P

i got the perfect answer

because this is exactly what happened to me before !!

anyways

just get liwuid eyeliner and just like line underneath your lower lashes

any shape anyway

can be as messy as you want

becuzzzzz we are

now gunna get a wipe (face wip/baby wipes) anyy

and then you rub off the excess eyeliner you put on

this will leave you with a beuitiful perfect straight line unerneath you lashes !! *(:

so this everyday (:
i only use liquid eyeliner on the top

cuz i kinda have long lashes and it's hard for me to put it on the bottom

i think gel eyeliner is much better and easier if u wanted to put it on the bottom
try black eyeshadow with a really thin brush instead

apply liquid eyeliner in feather strokes otherwise you'll hve a gap in between
This is how I felt when I first stared wearing eyeliner. I started with pencil because my mom said it would be good practice and I wanted liquid because I liked how dramatic it looked and how you could actually see it and it would stay on all day.

So to put it on you take the brush and lightly glide it over the top of your eye. I'm sure you know how to do this already because of the pencil. Be careful not to accidentally get it into your eye though. It can sting but it wont do any real damage to your eye..if it does get in you should flush your eye or what I sometimes like to do so that I don't have to start over is take a q-tip, wet it, and then lift down the bottom of my eye and let it leak out onto the q-tip. Anyway for the bottom you don't put it on the waterline. That will hurt badly and never ever work out. You put it under your bottom lashes. Your should make the top and bottom meet in the corner of your eye though so it looks consistent.

And you really can't see a space if you do it right...just do it as close as possible without actually getting any liner into your eye. A lot of people actually don't like to do the bottom and for awhile I didn't either. But now I don't like it without the bottom done. Remember to be as creative as you want with it and don't let anyone put you down. That's one of the main things I LOVE about liquid liner. You get to be as creative as you want with it which makes it fun. Good luck. ;D

EDIT: (also to answer one of the other answers statement you can get waterproof eyeliner which makes it not run. It stays on all day and that means you CAN put it in the corner of your eye. Just make sure you give it time to dry and it's always good to use primer before wearing any liner to make it last the longest it possibly can. So don't be afraid to put it on the bottom because it will run. Just get waterproof. It also esp helps if you have oily skin or p.e-sweat.-)
Liquid eyeliner is mainly used on the top lashline. It's hard to put it close to your eye, and if you put it too close it just makes your eyes water and the eyeliner blur.

If you want to wear it on the bottom lid, bear in mind that it looks very severe and you can't make it stay put on the inside of your eye as liquid eyeliner only stays for longer than pencil eyeliner if it stays dry, otherwise it will run. My advice is to use a tiny thin line on your bottom lashline, not a solid line, and use a cotton bud or q tip to soften it so it doesn't look harsh. Then use your pencil eyeliner to do inbetween your lashes and eye, and later when it smudges, there will still be a trace of black to soften the liquid eyeliner.

Most people don't use liquid eyeliner on the bottom unless going for a dramatic night time look, so I recommend doing just your top eyelid and seeing what you think. If you still want to do the bottom, then to keep it looking fairly natural don't draw a line, but do little dashes just barely above your lower lashes. Otherwise, you can use powder eyeshadow for around your lashes, it lasts long as it is dry and can be smudged. Use a very thin brush and barely wet the tip of the brush.

When trying something new with makeup, don't just try it for the first time before you head out the door- play around, experiment in the evening or when you have lots of time. That way you can wash it off if you don't like it, and you get good practice.

  • Is it bad to put eyeliner on the inside rim of your eyelid?

I heard somewhere that it can make you go blind... is this true?Is it bad to put eyeliner on the inside rim of your eyelid?
only if you stick the whole eyeliner pencil in the pupil of your eye, you'd have to REALLY screw up to do that. it's fine, i put it on the inside rim of my eyelid every day and i'm clumsy and i never went blind hah :) x

I've never heard of any diseases, but don't share with a sick person because you'll catch their cold.Is it bad to put eyeliner on the inside rim of your eyelid?
no it does not make you go blind im sure of it

i use it every single day and i havnt gone blind..

but is u use it regurlarly then ur rims might stay a little for a while and make it look as if u have eyeliner even if you dont.
i dont think it does... i never leave my house without putting eyeliner on the inside rim, and i wear it every day... ive never heard that it can make you go blind, or that it could give u an infection... hope this helps

How can i get my eyeliner to not run and to stay on all night?

    any tips?

or certain products? How can i get my eyeliner to not run and to stay on all night?
Try 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil by Urban Decay if you're having problems with runny eyeliner.

It doesn't smudge AT ALL, not even when you accidentally rub your eyes.

Plus, there's tons of fun, colorful shades (:

http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh鈥?/a>How can i get my eyeliner to not run and to stay on all night?
simple. Your eyeliner is not being applied correctly and sounds like some really cheap junk you've picked up by false budgeting. Anyone who needs to sleep in their eyeliner is defiantly buying cheep cheep. However, if you mix it with super glue it will most certainly stay on for months, cheap or otherwise.
The only product that I find actually stays on, doesn't smudge and looks awesome...Lancome Le Stylo eyeliner.

It's a waterproof gel/pencil. Goes on like a pencil but looks like liquid liner, super easy to apply. It is on the pricier side ($22) but it seriously lasts a loooooong time. I can put it on in the morning, go to work and to the gym and work up a sweat, and it still looks good at 10pm.

I've tried A LOT of eyeliners over the years, but this one is by far the most amazing eyeliner. I get compliments all the time on my eyes.

Revlon colorstay eyeliner stays on and DOESNT COME OFF (Guarantee atlest 12 hours). Plus, it comes in a lot of different colors. Cheaper than Max Factor and a LOT cheaper than the cosmetic counter. If you dont like it, buy it at Target because they will take it back even if you opened (w/ receipt of credit/debit card you bought it with).
in my personal opinion pencil is great and the way to make it stick without running is to apply a translucent powder and then apply the eyeliner and try not to touch your eyes through the night. the more you fuss with it the more likely to run. if you have very teary eyes-the powder helps to ubsorb that. :-)
Use an eye primer, then apply waterproof liquid eyeliner- may I suggest Wet N' Wild waterproof liquid liner in black, it is very water and smudgeproof. I actually have a hard time washing it off. After you apply the liner apply an eye shadow powder of the same shade over it to really set it.
put on a primer before you do your eye makeup. i.e. urban decay primer potion, a creme eyeshadow or cream stick, or concealer can be used as a primer as well. for extra coverage you can lightly go over the liner with a black shadow to set the liner.

also you just may have a bad product.

i use maybelline liquid waterproof eyeliner. I LOVEEEE THIS PRODUCT. it really stays put and is easy when you want to wash it off
Advocate: why the hatred towards this question. BTW if u r a man, why r u in the makeup section. Are u a crossdresser or are u gay (nothing wrong in being gay btw). How do u know she is buying cheap crap?

As for the real question: U sould make sure u put a primer, then concealer and then powder to set it. and then apply eyeliner.
Lol i do this all the time.

Put a thin layer of eyeshaddow on your eye lid then Liquid eyeliner on the spray a bit or hairspray on your eyes ( whilst they are shut OBVS)

%26amp; wait for it to dry.
Put concealer on your eyelid, then apply some loose powder over the lid, apply eyeliner, trace the eyeliner you have just drawn with the same colour eyeshadow.
Buy L'Oreals HIP cream eyeliner! It's smudge-proof, waterproof and lasts all day/night. I never have to do any eyeliner touchups. Try it =)
use primer on your lid before apply eyeliner.

and use the long staying eyeliner.

or use liquid eyeliner. it stays on the best. try revlon colorstay it works really good and cheap too
Try the Mac eye liner. I used to have that very same problem. I would apply liner and after an hour or so it would all over the place! The Mac eye liner stays put! I love it!!!
If it's a pencil your using, set it with a black matte eye shadow lightly and this will help set your eyeliner. :)
use liquid eyeliner and put a layer of skin colored eyeshadow on your eyelids before the eyeliner
YOU SUCK eye liner is ANIMAL it is BUNNY how COULD U LOSER!!

How can I make my eyeliner Stay put?

I hate when I put eyeliner on [lower inside rims] and it just smeres underneath my eyes by the end of the day. it makes me looks angry and have hufe dark circles under my eyes. How can I make my eyeliner Stay put?
Ok first of all make sure you're using waterproof eyeliner cuz anything not waterproof is just gonna rub off. And 2nd of all, eyeliner is one of those things you may need to pay more for. The only inexpensive eyeliner i found to be decent is waterproof Prestige. Other than that, Paula Dorf transformer makes an amazing long lasting eyeliner. It basically transforms your eyeshadow into eyeliner and its so great. You can get it at pauladorf.com.How can I make my eyeliner Stay put?
try using a pencil instead .....if you get it done at a solan it never smears!!!
Okay, first of all don't use liquid. Use pencil, cream, or powder and dont apply on rim! Do it right below/along your lash line. Make sure you apply on top too.
well don't put it exactly on the rims of your eye lids, because the moisture in your eyes is what makes it rub off and get all over your skin!! and maybe also try a water proof one so it won't smear at all!

when putting on your eye make-up, don't put it on the lower rims of your eye, one its not healthy for you eyes, and too you will look like a racoon at the end of the day..so apply it right under your lashes, or on your lashes..it looks better too..and don't apply it so thickly because that looks tacky!!!

and always apply eyeliner before and maybe after eyeshadow!

i always put eyeshadow underneath my eyes as well so i apply the liner, and then my eye shadow and if my shadow completely cover up my eyeliner i re-apply just a little bit more of eyeliner..if you do shadow first and then eyeliner your eyeliner will fade in a few hours!!

    hope this helps!! =)
    stop crying!
    pencil, dont put too much
Get a thin brush and the same color powder just dab a little on then you get a washcloth (pre-mascara application) slightly damp and gently press on your eyeliner. This pretty much cements the eyeliner in. It isnt going anywhere all day.

There are many causes of dark circles, from age, heredity, allergies, cold or sinus infection, bone structure and glasses which are not so commonly known.

    http://www.mydarkcirclesblog.com/2006/11鈥?/a>

If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:

Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water %26amp; stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath %26amp; let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K %26amp; Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

OK well everyone else has told u to use pencil and well i used to use pencil and had that same problem with me having gym class n everything SO then i thought i would try liquid and mine hasn't smudged since one time i forgot to wash off my make up and it still looked perfect the next day and if i were u i wouldn't go by anything real expensive either i don't i use one that cost like $8 at your local drugstore plus

one more thing make sure you get the kind that is waterproof and when u go to put it on after you apply it then hold your bottom lid down for just a few seconds to kinda give it a little help drying before it touches your eyeball

hope this helps you or if not u figure something out

How do I get my eyeliner to stay on?

I dont wear makeup but eyeliner and lipgloss, but whenever I put my eyeline ron. It always falls down and it ends up looking like I was crying or got punched in the face and got black eye lol.

I use pencil eyeliner, do u think i shoudl switch to liquid??? thanks. How do I get my eyeliner to stay on?
I know exactly how you feel! This still happens to me but I have figured out that it depends on where you put it and the type you are using. I hate Clinique eyeliners because they would smear everywhere in about 3 hours. This is what I do:

Line my upper and lower lashline with either a black or brown pencil.

Smudge it with either a smudger or an eyeliner brush.

Then I wet the eyeliner brush (or smudger) with water and dip it in either a black or brown eyeshadow and go over it.

It usually lasts all day as long as you are wearing a waterproof pencil.

Hope this helps and good luck! How do I get my eyeliner to stay on?
I have a solution for you. First, it would be suggested to wear mascara to even out the eye makeup. No, you should not switch to liquid, for it is harder to apply. You don't need that in relation to the fact that you're already having eyeliner troubles with pencil. There is the retractable eyeliner, and I use it. It works wonderfully, and it doesn't smear unless you rub your eyes or cry. Plus, eyeliner sometimes smears depending on the layout of your eye. Like how the eye wrinkles in some areas when you open it. So, say if you put it on the bottom, under the eyelashes, it will sometimes smear, but I suggest putting it on the edgeline of your eye, to make it resistant to the wrinkles. But it may be a bit unhealthy if the eyeliner actually gets inside of your eye.
You could switch to liquid but I find it more difficult to apply and gives a weird look. Try getting an eyeliner by Clinque. I used to have the same problem and I found out it was because I was using a lower quality eyeliner.
    Liquid eyeliner works really well

if you want it to stay on longer and not smear.

So if your having a problem with the pencil i would def. suggest it.

Revlon Colorstay is a good liquid eyeliner i think it's like 5-8$

    hope this helps.
    i have a great solution!

try using shade sticks/eye crayon (L'Oreal)!

it works so well, and it wont budge(i have it on now and luv it!)

fyi: it doesn't go on thick unless u want it that way, lol.

    ;]
i used to have the same problem

definately switch to liquid, its amazing. and i cant live without it.

it stays on like forever 2!!! (until yu take it off obviously...)

LIQUID EYE LINER: a life saver.
i think you need to get powder eyeliner..http://www.qvc.com/qic/qvcapp.aspx/view.鈥?/a> it never fails me!
Liquid and waterproof, and not the cheap kind. I like the ones they have at Victoria's secret, they're really good.
Put on a powder or primer first, and make sure you are using a waterproof pencil.
stick with pencil, liquid will make it worse...i've tried liquid and it ended up making a mess all over my eyes
