Hey it dsnt matter. U can use it as u like both the products are made for eye so are safe to be used anyways.How can you tell if a pencil is an eyeliner or just an eyeshadow pencil?

Yes, eye shadow pencils are usually thicker and tend to be a little smaller. Also, usually you can just read the label. Eyeliner tend to be long and thin. Hope I helped. :)
If you can't tell them apart then there's no harm in using both pencils for both eyeshadow and eyeliner. I'm a makeup artist %26amp; use eyeliner pencils to smudge colour over the eye lid. Really doesn't matter.
eye shadow pencils are normally thicker..i guess it doesn't really matter lol
they should say what kind they are as well..
