What colour eyeshadow for liquid eyeliner and red lipstick?
Ok, if I have a very light skin tone, and I'm wearing black liquid eyeliner and red lipstick, what colour eyeshadow looks best with these for a classy look?What colour eyeshadow for liquid eyeliner and red lipstick?

None, really. The cat eyed dramatic look with a red mouth shouldn't have any color above the liner.
If you're uncomfortable without something, try a shade that matches your skin tone - a nice base eyeshadow.

If you want an eyeliner that is easy to work with when smudging you'll want a kohl eyeliner. One of the best ones for that purpose is Mac Kohl Eyeliner in Smoulder (black). For the smudging you can use a smudging brush, small angled brush, Q-tip even.
It's best to apply a line and smudge it, then draw another thin line right against your lashline so it's a good solid black which fades out. To prevent huge panda eyes (ie. your pencil smudging further throughout the day) you can apply a good primer underneath like Urban Decay Primer Potion.
Otherwise you can get a pencil eyeliner with good staying power like Revlon Colourstay or Mac Powerpoint, and do the smudged effect with a black eyeshadow and small angled brush.
i used to use revlon luxurious color eyeliner in black velvet, and it worked amazingly. it has two sides, one for the eyeliner, and the other side is a smudger. it's 10$ at cvs pharmacy and walgreens and stores like that, very affordable. :) but, i stopped using that because it was frustrating when i got the eyeliner on my fingers and kept smudging it around on accident. right now i use dr. hauschka eyeliner. it's not quite as black as the other eyeliner, but it looks more smudged and it stays on longer without fading. they both work wonderfully though! I wear black eyeliner everyday. Everybody loves it. I had this person come up to me telling me they saw a girl who wore it like me but put a little silver on the outside corners. They said it looked hot. I cant figure out how to do it especially since i didnt see this girl. Anyone know how to get this look?Can you help on an eyeliner trick i heard about?

if its anything like something my friend does then i think i know how to help you. my friend puts white in the inner corner of her eyes and if done well it really works to make her whites whiter and her eyes pop and shine
hers is as simple as a dab since its on the inside corners. for yours im thinking the way to apply it, you could do one of two things
first but silver liner and put a dab on the corner of your eyes where the lashes meet. im the kinda of person to complete the lunch of my eyes and have them meet in that outer corner so i know its possible. if anything you can line a bit to the top and bottom to make sure its neatly done
another way you can try is taking the silver liner and lining your bottom thinly till you get to the corner and making it thick there. that way you can cover it up easily with the really black liner and it'll look like youre a natural!

Maybe change your eyeliner? I use a MAC Fluidline. It's in a little glass jar and lasts a little over 7 months (for me at least). There are different brushes you can use to apply it (I use a MAC brush #208). It's waterproof and lasts ALL DAY! It doesn't discolor my eyeshadow and doesn't smear. It also doesn't produce a black line where it's NOT needed. It's the best one I've tried! It's worth every penny coz it works very well and lasts a LONG time!

if you make up your upper eyelid completely with black, try to use eyeshadow instead of only the eyeliner. use the eyeliner just to define the eye

It could be the eyeliner itself, cheaper stuff might smudge more than others.
Also, if you put it on too thick or heavy, there will be extra layers of makeup that will come off very easily.
Last thing I can think of is maybe if you put some eyeshadow on, it'll be harder for the eyeliner to stick to the powder than to your skin.

I know this is over 10 dollars but MAC eye kohls are $14 and they last FOREVER. I've used the same one everyday for 4 months and it's still only like...1/4 missing? and it lasts all day without smudging! plus i g et mine from nordstroms...i've bought foundation and stuff before that i didnt like and ij ust bring it back. i know it's more expensive but sometimes it's worth it for easy to draw and nonsmudging liner...and trust me i've tried them all! I guess my next best choice would be Loreal HIP (often on a bogo promotion at the drugstore) so you'd get 2 for 10 bucks or 2 for 14 bucks dewpending on their prices where you lived.
sephora brand isn't bad either. they range from $5-12 dollars. but they don't have good staying power if your skin is oily.
there is always Walgreen's, sephora, pure beauty, and hot topic.

I recommend a pencil liner. I like Arbonne's liners. They are moisturizing and easy to apply, but stay on well. After applying add a little powder right under your liner to keep those racoons at bay.
Get some really high quality black eyeshadow, and dab it on top.
well if i want to wear eyeliner without it looking ott i use eeste lauder make up, a pencil black eyeliner then i have this set of purple and lighter purple/pink. first i put on the eyeliner then the darker purple over the top and on the lid. after, i put the lighter colour around the top in the fold of the eye and underneath round the lower eyelashes. it creates a great effect you should really try it. it stays all day and at the end of the day looks like you just applied it.
I think you get what you pay for so try a more expensive liner
