What's the best kind of eyeliner liquid or pencil?

I've never worn eyeliner before but have been thinking about it what would be best for me as a beginner until I really learn to apply it and something long lasting would be great. What's the best kind of eyeliner liquid or pencil?
pencil liner gives the eyes depth, while liquid liner provides sophistication. since you've never worn eyeliner before, it's best to start with pencil, as it's easier to apply. liquid, however, lasts longer and doesn't fade. you'll need a lot of practice to apply liquid liner, but do it right, and it'll be worth it.What's the best kind of eyeliner liquid or pencil?
A pencil is better seeing as you are a beginner. The liquid ones need experience and a steady hand.
maybelline has a great one, and for a pencil i love those better than liquid too messy for a beginner so u should start off with a penicl, try jordana very nice and glides on smooth
i use the estee lauder pencil its really pretty and it has refills in it so you dont have to buy another one
If you haven't used it before then start out with a pencil as it is easy to apply. with pencil eyeliners i wouldn't say it mattered Wat make it was a cheap one will do as they are all the same anyway, I use a Mac eyeliner cream which comes in a pot and you apply it with a brush but it is quite tricky to apply but it looks real good on!! Eyeliner really finishes off the whole look and remember it hasn't got to be black you can experiment with all different colours i like blue in the summer and brown for a subtle look. Good luck.

They have a great eyeliner that you can use. Very simple for the beginner as well as an everyday user. Very pretty colors too.

Also you could check out Glamorsticks at avon.com
If you are just starting out...use pencil or if you choose liquid..use one that looks like a felt marker or pen...that way you can grip it and handle it more carefully. Some liquid eyeliner comes with a brush ..almost like a mascarra container but with a little paint brush inside...that one is tricky and not for begginers. Good luck doll. ( Have some q-tips on hand, to correct your boo boo's)
Applying eyeliner can be quite tricky. I would suggest until you get a good steady hand at doing it to try a pencil first because I feel you can be more precise with it, and then eventually try the liquid. The pencil is easier to soften up after applied if you think you got it to thick or too dark.
Pencil is better if you are just learning. Make sure you sharpen it and apply it as close to the roots of your eyelashes as possible.
Liquid is soo messy

I prefer eyeliner because its simple and it comes in all these different colors like blue, brown, black, and white.

i LOVE MAYBELLINE
okay i am a liquid eyeliner girl all the way and from what i can tell i want something that is good quality but not expensive i run through it pretty fast. i use wet and wild liquid eyeliner it wears great look great and will cost you less than 3 bucks. i know what your thinking wet and wild = gross. not true i really love there liquid eyeliner now for a good pencil i reccomend anything revlon its wears great and looks flawless.

hope this helps!
Pencil is definitely the best. It gives a softer, smooth line that defines the eye.

A liquid is messy and harsh. It takes the focus away from the eye and onto the eyeliner. You want your makeup to enhance your features and not hide them or distract from them.

Also, you do not have to turn to black. Depending on the color of your eye, you can go and use browns, purples, blues, and greens; as long as they are toned down and suttle colors that compliment your eyes, usually a color looks great!
pencil b/c you can smudge it to get smoky eyes..and its so much easier. you can draw it and it comes out great. the liquid one is messy and you have to me much more careful and neat with it.

use the pencil =)
I prefer *MAYBELINE*,it last for a really longtime and it's great for any kind of eyes.
well, liquid eyeliner is sorta messy, and can sting if applied wrong (at least that happened to me, dont freak out) but it can sometimes be easier. I personally like the pencils cuz they are easier to use. for a professional look, smear it just the TINIEST but with a q-tip. hope I helped!
Do you want a sharp line ( liquid ) or are you planning to smudge it? (pencil)

either look would be great!
