How can i pull off eyeliner without looking trashy?

i have this bad habit of wearin too much eyeliner, and even if i just wear a tiny bit it looks like too much.

i cant decide if i should stick with mascara or keep tryin. How can i pull off eyeliner without looking trashy?
Apply only to your top lid and make the line thin and as close to your lashes as possible. Use a brown or grey liner it doesn't look as heavy as black. How can i pull off eyeliner without looking trashy?
just use a very thin, slick line with a soft pencil liner (you know, the kind that twist up? I love Cover Girl's Perfect Point Plus) and with your ring finger, tug down the area under your lid and draw as close to the inside as you can...go to the outer corner but never take your eyeliner all the way across to the inner corner...it'll make you eyes appear smaller. leaving it open will, in turn, make your eyes look more open.

on the inner corner, blend with the end of the first black line you created with either a nude or a white liner.
Maybe you should just try to stick to mascara for a bit.

Or just apply a thin layer of eyeliner on your top lid along the lashline (but make sure it's not TOO MUCH), and then smudge it with your finger.

Good Luck :D

oo and maybe try only doing it on your bottom lid and mascara only on your top caus that's like better
i know how you feel.... I would try putting it on the corner of your eyes and the top.. you might not even need i would ask someone i could trust to tell me the truth!
Use brown instead of black, that should make a big difference.
try a diffrent color. i have an eyeliner and it is just darker than my skin color. i use it and it really brings out my eyes without looking trashy at all. black looks terrible on some people. there is every color you can think of. and the ones that cost more are worth it. that might be the problem. when buying make-up, you cannot be on a budget.
What I do is use like dark eye shadow just like you would eyeliner. Than as you get up to your eyebrow get liter of that same color. i.e. Purple, Brown, or pink.聽 I have this problem too, you could also put the liner in your lash line or blend it upward. Hope this helped!?
Get a lighter shade of eyeliner
Maybe it is the type of eyeliner you are using. If you use an actual pencil, try switching to liquid or vice versa to see if you like it better. Also, only add it to the bottom of your eyes and pull your bottom lid as far out as is comfortable and draw right on that lid, not too far below. Also try to find one that doesn't smudge, that might also be a problem.
Put it on from middle top lid to outer top lid then blend with a sponge eyeshadow applicator if it's too dark. Use brown for a more natural appearance. Just use black or navy for evenings if you want a more dramatic look. Or use an eyepencil first then a brown liquid eyeliner, then blend, it will make it easier to blend. If it's too dark you can use a light brown to reblend.
i would just go with mascara.

if not, use a thin thin line of liner on only the top lid.
ok.. so you don't want to look like avril lavigne.. all you do is use a thin brush intead of the whole pencil. they seem to be really thick.. and make you look even darker that you want ure eyes to be. wet the brush and mix it around in the black powder(i use bare essentials(p.s. i love it) and it helps) mix your eye conceler brush in with the lid of your little pod where the make-up is. apply it very easily. u can really go wild or go really even. Mascara looks great after too! they have bare essentials at sephora and you can get only that stuff.. or try it all out!
avoid the inner corners of the eye, a thin line from the center of the pupil, to the outer corner, top and bottom, should look good, try it.
Blend the eyeliner into your upper lash line. Smudge it lightly, and don't draw the line all the way. Draw it till about a little more than halfway across your lash line. As for the bottom, line the rim, but again...not all the way. Just halfway-ish. Try not to make the line too thick on top. That way, it give the illusion that your eyelashes are thicker and longer, and it looks nice. :)
A lighter shade is not always the answer. Sure Mascara Definently works but some times you need a little more deinition for your eyes. So what you do is try a stick eyeliner instead of a pencil. If you use a pencil and don't leave it dull make sure its sharp it gives you a sharper line. Now don't put it on the bottom lid cause then it just smears and makes a mess.... just stick to mascara there. Now when applin eyeliner it should just go right above your lashes, very thin and not extending past you eyelid. Make sure there is no space between your line... or it wont look as i clean. Honestly if you cant do it practice!....if that doesn't work highlight your eyes with shadow... and skin tones (brown, light brown, cream) work just fine dont worry about dark colors if you dont like shadow. This will give you a natural look and definition to your eyes.

Hope this helps!
um maybe u need to practice drawing on a thin line.

just put liner on the top.. for the bottom you can brush on eyeshadow..it is less harsh
Use brown eyeliner,

and instead of putting it on both top and bottom lid, put it only on the bottom.

MY makeup routine.

Foundation/cover-up, [dream matte mousse]

Put my eyeliner on, [Rimmel London eyetwist]

Put on some lip butter, [bodyshop]

Mascara on top lashes only, [great lash-blackest black]

Curl my eyelashes.

Then finishing touch,.

**dab some white eyeshadow on the inner corner of my eyes to make my eyes pop.]

ALL THIS PAIRED TOGETHER KEEPS YOU FROM LOOKING TRASHY.
okay, what you do is you only put it on the Top lid. dont put ANY on the bottom. also, dont put it all the way to your inner corners. only put it where youre lashes are the thickest. if it still looks bad, get lighter eyeliner, like african brown or something. another idea is to take white eyeliner and put it on your inner corners. it doesnt really have to do with your question but i really like it because it makes your eyes look brighter and bigger. another tip for bigger looking eyes is to put on lots of mascara, but only on the top. plus, it saves the annoying smudges that always come with putting masacara on the bottom lashes. oh, and one other thing (sorry, i cant help myself ;P) is to put concealer right under your eyes where you have black circles. just put about 4-5 little dots and then pat it with your finger. even if you dont have black circles, itll still make you look better. i hope i helped and good luck :D
