How do I apply liquid eyeliner?

Hey,

I got some free liquid eyeliner in a magazine the other week, but I have no idea how do use it? I'm 12.

Please give me some advice?How do I apply liquid eyeliner?
Close your eyes and apply it to your upper lid starting from the inner corner going outwards.

You'll probably be really shite at first if you've never used it.. But practice makes perfect.

Im still no good at applying it, so I just stopped lol. How do I apply liquid eyeliner?
Here is a video tutorial on how to apply liquid eyeliner: http://www.videojug.com/film/how-to-appl鈥?/a>

I hope that helps! :)
With a very steady hand!

KA
I've tried to use it a few times and it has never worked out for me.

Great answer xfashion.. Don't know why someone gave you a thumbs down. ???
First off, with the liquid stuff, you just put it on your upper lid, not your lower; it tends less interesting on the lower (assuming you can apply it, as the lower lid is a lot wobblier than the upper!). You also don't extend the line all the way to the inner corner of your eye; it only goes as far as around three quarters of the wy there, and the last quarter is usually a hair thin line. On the other hand, you extend it a few mm out of the outer corner of your eye, to give you that cat's-eyes look. The idea is that on the lower lid, the inner rim of your eye, and the inner corner, you use a pencil, which is both easier to apply, and if it is a Kohl pencil, much safer to go inside your eye.

The first thing to do is get a flat surface to rest your elbow on. Should save you a lot of misfires lol. Then, make sure you have a magnifying mirror if you need one--no use trying to do something fiddly like apply liquid liner if you can't see a thing, it'll be more hassle than fun! Put it on a pile of books or something so it's at eye level without you needing to bend.

Then, load the eyeliner brush with the goo (don't make it dripping wet; just enough that it makes a nice straight line. Try testing a few times on the -clean!- back of your hand to get the hang of loading it right, it'll really help you get the neatest line possible). Once you've loaded the brush, park your elbow on the table, breathe out nice and easy to relax (if you're relaxed, your eye is less likely to blink real fast when the brush goes near, allowing you to work easy). Then, do the head tip: tip your head back a little, while still looking into the mirror. that will make your whole eyelid show, much like when you've got your eyes shut, except you can still see pretty well (btw, this is also the best way to apply any kind of eye makeup, except mascara where the goal is to keep your eyes as wide open as possible).

then, onto the actual applying %26lt;g%26gt;. Start in the middle of your upper lid, and work outwards. Bear in mind that unless it's high summer where you are, the liner is likely to feel a bit cool when it touches your lid, so remember that so you don't get startled at the feel and blink! Draw little dots or dashes real close to one another, then connect them to form the line; this gives you a lot more control in directing the line. When you get to the outer corner, extend it in the same direction, to form one arm of a V placed sideways, then fill that in. After that, go back to where you started, and taper out the line, real skinny, about a quarter of the way to the inner corner of your eye.

That's it! You're now proficient in applying eyeliner! Or rather, practice a few times before the Big Occasion when you want to do it 'for real'; it's definitely an acquired skill, lol.

one thing to note: if you like the look it gives you but you think life's too short to spend maybe fifteen minutes messing around with that (agreed lol), you could try and score some gel eyeliner. This is eyeliner in a creamy consistency, that comes in a little pot and is applied with a separate brush. I personally love it because it gives just the same look as liquid liner in the mascara-like tube, but with much more control when you apply it. also, it has the great advantage that you can share with friends, since you just load up the brush with enough goo to do one person, then clean the brush between two users and you're set! Most pro make-up artists I've seen tend to like this kind of liner for just this reason.

another thing to note: don't keep eyeliner, especially the one in the tube, for more than 3-4 months from when you first opened it. This kind of packaging and the fact the product is wet, rather than a powder, makes a nice cozy home for bacteria, which could be really bad news if you then put it on your eye. So, when you go back to school after your Christmas holidays, toss the liner to be safe. Same for mascara! You can keep pencils for about three years though, as if it's grungy, you just sharpen it again and bob's your uncle!

Good luck!
It's not difficult at all. It's much like normal eyeliner. Just make sure to stay close to the tip of your eyelid next to the eyelashes. Also, I would recommend not using liquid eyeliner on your bottom lid..it never looks right. Good luck!
Start from the middle of the eye and work you way out. Then go back to the corner to the middle. Then do your shadow. Its easier to use a pencil or crayon because if you screw up you can smudge.

if ur 12 u dont need to use it
Liquid liner is tricky. If you've never used it before, don't save it for trying right before you go out; it'll take practice! :)

Only use it on your upper lid, NEVER the bottom lid. Otherwise it will run into your eye (and from personal experience: ouch!)

You'll need a steady hand too. Personally, I always start from the middle of my top lid and work outwards, then if I want, fill in from the inner corner of my eye back to the middle point (on my upper lid) later. But where you start depends on: whether your left or right handed, the angle you're holding the brush, and the actually shape (angle) of the brush (or whatever the applicator is that the liner comes with)

So just practice, and you'll be fine ;)
it takes practice but basically it works just like regular liner u just have 2 hold iy difff.I love it!
I'm 12 too.

Well like, about to be 13.

But anyway,

I usually wear like a thin line of black/dark brown liquid eyeliner on the top lids,

and then I wear like black/dark brown pencil eye liner on the bottom.

But then when like I lose my pencil or forget it or something, I just wear liquid on the bottom too.

But I try not to do that TOO much because it really stings sometimes if you get it in your eye...unless its like the really good, expensive kind or liquid eyeliner that hardly ever gets in your eyes and even if it does, it won't sting.

Anyway though, if you only have liquid all the time, then put it either just on the bottom, or on both the bottom and top. Because I think it looks kinda weird with just eyeliner on the top.

So yeah, when you put it on the bottom, try and make it as close as your bottom eye lashes as possible. Then your more likely to not get it in your eyes.

Hope this helped;;

Liquid eyeliner provides your eyes with the most dramatic look. It's perfect for a night out on the town or a photo shoot. Applying liquid eyeliner can be tricky but with the right tools and a steady hand, liquid eyeliner can enhance your eyes by defining them and making your lashes appear fuller.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You鈥檒l Need:

* Liquid eyeliner

* Liquid eye makeup remover

* Cotton swab

* Eye pencil

* Eyeliner brush

* Dark eye shadow

Step1

Choose the type of liquid eyeliner you want to use. You can use liquid eyeliner with a wand applicator or liquid eyeliner with a sponge tip, similar to a felt-tip pen. Practice using both and go with the eyeliner you feel most comfortable with.

Step2

Select the color of your liquid eyeliner. Liquid eyeliner's purpose is to create fullness and thickness in the eyelashes, so choose the same color as the mascara you plan to use for a more natural look.

Step3

Rest one elbow on a flat surface, like your bathroom counter, to help steady your hand. Close one eye and lift that eyelid gently with your non-dominant hand.

Step4

Apply the liquid eyeliner as close as possible to the lash line. Make a series of small marks, instead of one straight line across, to give you more control of the eyeliner. Connect the series of small marks as you move along the lash line.

Step5

Repeat Step 4 on your other eye. Check both eyes carefully in a mirror. Small mistakes and smudges can be erased using a dab of liquid eye makeup remover on a cotton swab.
