Why do girls wear eyeliner on the inside of their eye?

Doesn't it make your eyes look smaller? Isn't it unhealthy? All the girls wear it inside their eye at my school... are they applying their makeup wrong?Why do girls wear eyeliner on the inside of their eye?
i used to do that.. it looks good on some people but yes it makes your eyes smaller. its hard for some people to get under the eyes so they take the easy way out. usually i put it on my eye then smudge it with a q tip so its makes my eyes look biggerWhy do girls wear eyeliner on the inside of their eye?
I wear it on the inside %26amp; it makes my eyes look larger. It may depend on the size of the eye. As long as the pencil is clean %26amp; doesn't irritate the eye, it is okay to wear it like that. It's a matter of preference.
I do it and it makes my eyes look prettier. Smaller yeah, but the coal look of it looks nice. If you look at magazines there aren't that many women that DON'T do it. Maybe you're applying it wrong.
I dont know what school you go to! I wouldnt put makeup in my eye. I certainly hope you mean under the eye!
Yes it does....eyeliner should be applied to the upper lid to make your eyes look bigger. And no one should be putting any liner on the insides of their eyes....do you mean under their eyes by the lash line? They are risking serious eye infections if they are not wearing it outside of their eye.

They aren't supposed to. It causes pain. Anyway it isn't unhealthy it makes their eyes stand out on their face to make them look pretty (in their opinion).
When you wear eyeliner in the inside of your eye it makes your eye look larger and more awake.
Yeah it makes your eyes look a lot smaller, you should all tell them to learn how to wash their makeup off stop copying eachother.
They wear it to make their eyes look more open and wide. Brings out the color of their eyes real well.
Lol, no they are not applying it wrong and its not the inside of your eye; its the top of the bottom lid of your eye and the yes it does give the eye the appearance of being smaller. Women with large eyes like it and other woman use it to bring out the color in their eyes. So women with darker eyes may use brown or black and women with ligght eyes may use different colors like blue or silver to each their own. Oh and as far as health its fine but woman should keep in mind to wipe off their make up at night. Hope it helps!

Eyeliner inside makes your eye look open and bigger, not smaller. Pencil eyeliners are okay to put inside... But god I hope nobody puts a liquid eyeliner in the inside of an eye... You also asked if they are applying their makeup wrong? I should see it to tell you that, but appyling eyeliner (pencil) inside of the eye is very right.
They do it because it's a trend (trust me - it sounds weird, but it's a very popular way to apply eyeliner right now!) and they don't know how bad it is for their eyes. I personally wouldn't do it because yes, it is harmful to the sensitive eye area, and there are very few people who can actually wear this and look great!
Make-ups are treated with anti-microbacterial agents so they stay sanitary longer, but you are supposed to replace eye make-up every 4 months. The eyeliner inside[or outside]is to be sexy, and make lashes look longer. On the inside also makes the whites look whiter. This probably cancels out the smaller dimension because of the brightening effect.So, either way eyes are bigger and sexier! If your make-up were to be very old I would only line the outside until it is replaced.
