How to prevent eyeliner from smudging or wearing off?

Whenever i wear my maybelline eyeliner or any eyeliner that i have it always manages to get into the corner of my eye and it always wears off or comes off. what can i do to fix this problem?

Try using waterproof eyeliner, it doesn't smudge much and wears off less. I always set my eyeliner with eyeshadow, even on my waterline, it does make it last longer, and smudge less.


I suggest using Revlon Colorstay and L'Oreal HIP cream eyeliner. They both stay on my waterline for a long time, but the L'Oreal HIP eyeliner stays on waaayy longer,How to prevent eyeliner from smudging or wearing off?
Obviously: Don't touch your eyes at all.


But setting it in with eyeshadow or clear liquid liner works like a charm. If you don't want to bother with two products, then buying a liquid liner of the colour you want is the best.
i honestly don't think there is any way to prevent this if you're a bottem lid liner like i am. i just do touch ups. i have noticed the manic panic eye liner is the best.
well before u put your eyeliner on you could just grab a q tip and dry your waterline this will make it last longer





or once you have put ur eyeliner on set it with an eyeshadow i used to do this an it works really well but it can damage your eyes





but it could be the eyeliner your using ive tried maybelline eyeliner and i hate it it doesn't stay on my eyes at all now i use the mac fluidline its a bit pricey for an eyeliner but worth it it doesn't wear off or smudge all over my eyes and they come its lots of different colours
um. maybe putting a pale colored eye shadow beneath your eyes may help. thats what i do and it helps somewhat. (:

Well before putting on all your eye makeup use a primer. I use Too Faced Eyeshadow Primer and it works well. If you use it under your eyes put some powder on before putting on eyeliner. After you put eyeliner on try putting some black eyeshadow on (or whatever color your eyeliner is) on top of the line to help set it in. Hope I helped!
