Is it true that it is bad to put eyeliner on your lower eyelid?

i thought thats where everybody puts their eyeliner, but recently i was told that when you put it there, there is a high chance of infection and because it touches your eye.

False - unless you scratch your eye with the applicator, are allergic, or otherwise irritate it ..





Eyeliner particles will always 'bleed' into your eyes via oils and other airborne transmisions.





We'd be pretty puffy if this were true! Eyeliners would be off the market in this case.

If you share makeup with others then it is very true, but if you are a fairly clean person and using your own makeup, then it is fine.
True, in a big way, true ! I read a book written by Bobbi Brown and also some articles written by other famous make-up artists, and they all said the same thing. The only time it should be used--and Bobbi Brown, who is probably the best make-up artist today and for the last decade has said ';never';---is for photo shoots. Bobbi Brown said that she never recommends lining the inner rim of your eyes because it can flake off into your eyes causing damage to your eye as well as your eyesight. Plus it is unsanitary, even if you are the only one using the liner pencil because bacteria grows best in warm moist areas, like your eye, and it is hard to disinfect your liner from the environment. She has also told her assistants not to apply liner inside the lid but alot of photographers like it because it shows the eye better and can highlight the eye for different effects. The magazines also tell girls to line the inner rim and the magazines are being negligent for doing that. Eye doctors hate it because in worse case scenarios, someone could lose their eyesight. Unfortunately, young women will do alot of things that are risky that the professionals do and the professionals are being negligent as well. I admire Bobbi Brown because she makes women look stunning without endangering their health.

what is put on lower lid is eye defining pencil.whenever i put eye liner on my lower lid i get burning eyes.so better avoid it.
infection occurs if u share ur eye liner with others. also, if u're using very old (more than 2 yrs) eye liner, there's a chance of infection as well.
That is not true, I have been a makeup wearer for a while, and have been putting eyeliner on my lower lids for the whole time and I have yet to receive an infection. But you do have a chance of getting an infection if your share your cosmetics with other people. It makes you look more tired, as the day progresses, it will start to ';melt'; and make you look like you have TERRIBLE dark circles..that's the only bad thing i know about it..but i mean, as long as you don't share your liner with anyone..i suppose it's okay. make sure you clean the tip of the liner stick before applying to remove access bacteria, just to insure you don't get any infection.
