How do you perfectly put on eyeliner?

When I put it on, it has a huge lump. How do I get to be perfect like famous people?How do you perfectly put on eyeliner?
It can be hard to do a perfect lined eye, but it also takes a couple of practices to get it right. First, take the eyeliner and gently tug your eye so the outer rim of your waterline is sticking away from your eye. Then gently, slide the eyeliner, starting from your tear duct and sliding it to the edge of your eye. Also, always remember to outline near your lashes, meaning, never put eyeliner on the inside rim of your eye, always line where your eyelashes lie because this will give the illusion of bigger, bright eyes. This will also prevent your eyes from tearing up or getting an infection from eyeliner smearing in your eye. So remember, roll the eyeliner in the outer curve of your eye and don't make the line too thick because it can also look unnatural and give the effect of a smaller eye. Then, it will be even and smooth.
pull your eye taunt outward.... I guess like if you were going to make yourself look asian.... then draw a line into your lashes, make small dashes back and forth, it's easier to control than one long line
